Gen.G Esports Opens GGX Cultural Gaming Hub in Seoul

Global esports organization Gen.G Esports will open its new cultural gaming venue, GGX (Gen.G Gaming Xperience), on Saturday, June 21, 2025. Situated near Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station in Seoul, the 1,571-square-meter facility combines a high-performance gaming zone with food and beverage outlets, merchandise retail, community lounges and coaching programs designed to extend lifestyle experiences beyond gameplay.

The gaming area offers 252 stations, each equipped with NVIDIA RTX 5070 graphics cards, LG UltraGear monitors, Logitech peripherals and premium SIDIZ gaming chairs, all supported by ultra-high-speed internet. Gen.G estimates the hardware investment at approximately 4.5 million South Korean won per seat, aiming to deliver an immersive environment for both casual visitors and competitive players.

Co-designed with Superplay, a game and esports IP management firm, GGX serves as an “expandable Xperience platform” that invites collaboration with brands, content creators and fans. Partners including Ottogi, Monster Energy and SIDIZ contributed to the design and programming of the space. The venue’s F&B area, G.ROUND, features a menu developed with Ottogi, while an MD store stocks Gen.G uniforms, collaborative partner products and GGX-exclusive items. A community lounge accommodates more than 100 guests, and a “GenRang” photo zone highlights the organization’s mascot.

In collaboration with Gen.G Global Academy, the venue will host skill development classes and personal training led by former professional players, offering strategy sessions, aim-training drills and teamwork workshops. Year-round fan events such as watch parties and meet-and-greets are also planned to foster ongoing engagement.

Superplay will manage GGX operations, leveraging its experience with venues like T1 Basecamp Hongdae and KT Rolster R Café. Gen.G has offices in Seoul, Los Angeles and Riyadh and fields teams in League of Legends, Valorant, PUBG, FC Online and Brawl Stars. Current sponsorships include LG Electronics, Monster Energy, Logitech, SOOP, DESCENTE, Ottogi and SIDIZ.
