Riot Korea considers options for the LCK, including online matches

The League of Legends Champions Korea has been suspended since the 2nd March due to the coronavirus epidemic. Although it has been two weeks since LCK spring split round two has been postponed, there is no sign of when the regular split will resume.

Riot Korea revealed that they are considering every option, including having online matches. In a released statement, the company said, "Although resuming LCK was not decided, we are checking out every possibility including online matches with considering how many matches left and how many days we might have."

The League of Legends Pro League's Spring Split has resumed via an online format. They increased the broadcast and match schedule to three Bo3's per day to make up for lost days following the COVID-19 outbreak. Players are competing from their teams' offices and each team have its on-site referee to help out in case of technical problems.

Since the period that LCK is postponed has been extended, the LPL method (having matches online) seems to be uprising as the first option for them.
