Due to complications in finalizing the visa for original jungler, Kadircan "Kadir" Mumcuoğlu, Evil Geniuses has signed Andy "AnDa" Hoang as his replacement for their League of Legends Championship Series Academy roster. Kadir most recently played with Hjarnan on ad hoc gaming, a German Prime League Pro team, but NA fans may remember him from OpTic Academy in 2018.

Evil Geniuses has also struggled to finalize Ahmad "Giyuu" Charif's visa, and have signed Scouting Grounds talent, Aidan Joseph "5fire" Reckamp, to cover for him. They've kept Giyuu (formerly Korean Kid) on their roster, and likely still intend to compete with him in the coming weeks upon visa approval.

AnDa has seen plenty of time in the LCS and Academy scene, most notably replacing Meteos on 100 Thieves in 2018 Summer after a stint on FlyQuest Academy. He attended Worlds with the team, but was moved to the Academy roster in Summer 2019 and was not able to secure a team in the off-season.

Evil Geniuses started Dennis "Svenskeren" Johnsen in their two Academy games last week, along with Colin "Kumo"Zhao in place of Giyuu, but will now field a full roster moving forward. Visa complications have affected many players and teams this year, and there are others like Team Liquid and Mads "Broxah" Brock-Pedersen we are still waiting to be solved.
