[KeSPA Cup] AF Mystic: "I don't believe age has anything to do with LoL. I'll show everyone that there is a player that's considered old, but still good."

On the 23rd (KST), Afreeca Freecs and Rockhead faced off in the round of 16 of the '2019 League of Legends KeSPA Cup Ulsan'. With Jin "Mystic" Seong-jun showing calm prowess on Varus in game 1, they took the victory over Rockhead 2-0.

The following is an interview with the bot laner for Afreeca Freecs, Mystic.

Congratulations on the victory. How does it feel to play in Korea after such a long time?

This is my first game in Korea in 5 years, and I'm glad that I won. Although I wasn't nervous, it all  felt very new to me.

How is your new team, Afreeca Freecs?

Everyone has great personalities and they're all good people.

What is the biggest change that you faced while playing in Korea?

In China, a lot of in-game resources were focused on me, just like Uzi. However, all the Korean teams have a different playstyle, so right now, I'm trying to adjust to the team's playstyle.

What are your thoughts on Miss Fortune? Can you share your thoughts on the strongest marksman champion right now?

She is very easy to play. Right now, Miss Fortune and Varus can be picked blind.

Despite many predicting that you will win via landslide, both games were very long.

In game 1, we could've won if we were proactive in starting fights, but we delayed our victory because we were too concerned with getting vision and dragons. I think that this game would've been over a lot quicker in China because both teams would fight all the time. The first game felt like a typical LCK game overall. In game 2, I think the game went on for as long as it did because I died too many times.

Different junglers were used in game 1 and 2, so what are the differences between the two?

While Spirit is macro-oriented in his play, Dread likes to pick fights.

How are you finding your new bot lane partner, Son "Jelly" Ho-gyeong?

He has a great personality and is eager to learn.

Which bot laner are you most concerned about facing?

I really can't pick a single player out because I'm meeting them all for the first time. Although I heard that Deft is really good, as a pro gamer, you need to think to yourself that you are the best (laughter).

Any last words you'd like to say to your fans?

I came back after I aged a lot, but despite the popular opinion, I don't believe age has anything to do with LoL. I'll show everyone that there is a player that's considered old, but still good.
