Pragmata has been dominating the charts, achieving an 'Overwhelmingly Positive' rating on Steam and hitting the number one spot in global sales. While it continues to hold its ground in Japan, an unexpected—or perhaps entirely predictable—title is now threatening its position at the top of the Steam charts: Bunny Garden 2.

Qureate shared the news on its official social media channels, celebrating the fact that its new title, Bunny Garden 2, has climbed to the number one spot on Steam's Top Sellers list. Bunny Garden 2 is a hostess dating simulation where the protagonist spends money and affection on bunny-girl-clad staff at a pub to find comfort. Due to its themes and character depictions, the previous entry in the series was rated 'Adults Only' in Korea.
The Bunny Garden series is known as developer Qureate's most successful franchise. Although Qureate produces adult-oriented games, they refrain from the explicit sexual depictions often found in Japanese 'eroge' or other adult titles on Steam. As a result, their games have consistently received a CERO D rating, allowing them to be sold in general retail stores. Because they maintain a high level of suggestiveness without resorting to explicit content, the studio is often referred to as a 'developer for gentlemen.'
Nevertheless, being classified as an adult game based on its suggestive nature inherently limits its potential for massive sales. Yet, Bunny Garden 2 reached the number one spot shortly after its April 16 release. While it ceded the top spot to the newly released Pragmata on the 17th, it remains the second most popular game on Steam in Japan. Globally, it ranks 21st, and 34th in Korea. This number one ranking on Steam proves that Qureate's games possess significant competitive power, at least within the Japanese market.

Meanwhile, the previous entry in the series, Bunny Garden, and the spin-off title Heron Heron Bunny Garden were officially released in Korea on the Nintendo Switch with full Korean language support. The original Bunny Garden also received a Korean language update on Steam about two years after its initial release.
