On the first day, Gyeonggi Nongshim RedForce and Dplus KIA demonstrated clear dominance across multiple matches, finishing first and second overall with 91 and 80 points, respectively.
The 2026 KEL PUBG Mobile finals consist of 12 matches in total, with six matches played each day on the 25th and 26th. The 16 participating teams earned 'finals points' based on their performance in the six-round preliminary stage, which are added to their finals match results to determine the ultimate champion. The winning team will receive the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award and a prize of ₩10 million.
In the preliminary stage, Gyeonggi Nongshim RedForce earned 9 points, Dplus KIA 8 points, FN Sejong 4 points, and Daejeon Game PT and Kiwoom DRX each recorded 3 points. Gwangju Qx, Suwon e-Sports, and Jecheon Phalanx each secured 2 points, while Incheon Wave, Chungnam CNJ, and Jeonnam e-Sports each earned 1 point.
In the first match, held on Rondo, Gyeonggi Nongshim RedForce's macro play and Dplus KIA's offensive prowess stood out. Gyeonggi Nongshim RedForce, positioned on a ridge, opted for a defensive strategy as the safe zone shrank around them, easily securing a 8-kill 'chicken dinner.' Conversely, Dplus KIA engaged in constant combat from the start, racking up kills quickly. Despite being reduced to just 'Chips' due to frequent skirmishes, the team managed to survive until the Top 3, accumulating a massive 22 points including 17 kills and survival points.
Dplus KIA's momentum continued into the second match on Erangel. Early in the game, they secured a strong position through a bold 2-2 split strategy, allowing them to unilaterally fire upon opponents entering the zone in the Top 4 phase. They secured the win with 10 kills. The third match's victory went to Daejeon Game PT, who secured a 13-kill win after decisively winning a zone-edge battle against Jeonnam e-Sports. This victory propelled Daejeon Game PT to second place overall.
In the fourth match, Gyeonggi Nongshim RedForce solidified their position in the west by wiping out Gwangju Qx and FN Sejong. In the north, Dplus KIA and Jecheon Phalanx shared a compound, while Incheon Wave maintained a full squad in the south. Despite a numerical disadvantage, Gyeonggi Nongshim RedForce eliminated Incheon Wave, while Jecheon Phalanx came out on top in the northern skirmish. Jecheon Phalanx, positioned closer to the final zone, won the last fight. Second-place Gyeonggi Nongshim RedForce managed to secure an impressive 16 kills.
In the fifth match on Miramar, the top two teams, Dplus KIA and Gyeonggi Nongshim RedForce, finished first and second, respectively, cementing their lead at the top of the leaderboard. Although Gyeonggi Nongshim RedForce secured 10 kills after eliminating Jecheon Phalanx in the final three-way fight, they were forced to concede the win due to personnel losses. The sixth match saw the two teams' fortunes diverge: Dplus KIA earned only 1 point, while Gyeonggi Nongshim RedForce reached the Top 3, adding 15 points to reclaim first place overall.
