Season 4 of 'Battlefield 6' and its battle royale mode, 'REDSEC,' has officially launched, headlined by all-out naval warfare. New naval equipment has been introduced, including the 7.7m NSW RHIB high-speed boat equipped with machine guns and the heavily armored RCB-90 patrol boat. Additionally, a dynamic wave system—featuring real-time tides—now alters movement, visibility, and the flow of combat. The new map, Tsuru Reef, which launches alongside Season 4, consists of a chain of tropical islands and is touted as the largest all-out warfare map in the franchise's history. Furthermore, a 'Top Gun' limited-time event will begin on August 18, marking the return of a reimagined 'Wake Island,' one of the series' most iconic battlefields.

In this update, Battlefield 6 has refined community-focused features beyond maps and equipment, including the Battle Pass, Spectator Mode, and Custom Lobbies. Spectator Mode now offers four spectator slots with support for first-person, third-person, and free-roam cameras, while Custom Lobbies facilitate team composition and rule settings for both multiplayer and REDSEC. With the rank reset for Season 4, the scoring system for REDSEC Ranked Battle Royale has been adjusted to account for eliminations and assists. Permanent rewards, such as the 'S4 Eliminator' skin, have also been added for the top 250 players.

The Season 4 Battle Pass includes new weapons, including three new rifles, and other content. The pre-purchase bundle, 'Season 4 Battlefield Pro,' packages the official Battle Pass with tier skips and EXP boosters. These items are listed separately on Steam, and the season-opening content has already climbed to the top of the sales charts. Battlefield 6's revenue has jumped significantly, reaching 4th place globally and 11st in Korea.

'Battlefield 6,' the 18th mainline entry in the series, was released on October 10 of last year, making Season 4 a major content update arriving just ahead of the game's first anniversary. The development team stated that they will continue to release further details sequentially until the end of summer.
