SOOP (co-CEOs Choi Young-woo and Lee Min-won) will host the 'ASL Season 22 Season Open' on Saturday, the 18th, featuring Blizzard Entertainment's RTS game, 'StarCraft: Remastered.'

The 'ASL Season 22 Season Open' is an open tournament where anyone can compete for a spot in the upcoming ASL main event. Participation is open regardless of existing ASL points, and the winner of each round will receive a ₩1 million prize and a direct seed into the 'ASL Season 22' Round of 24.

Top-tier players who have starred on the ASL stage, including Lee Jae-dong (Z), Jang Yoon-chul (P), Do Jae-wook (P), and Kim Yoon-hwan (Z), have already registered for the event. As an open tournament, it is expected to feature high-level matches as established powerhouses compete alongside new challengers.

The tournament will follow a one-day format, determining a winner from the qualifiers to the finals in a single day. With every match played as a best-of-one, unpredictable results and fresh strategies are expected to be key highlights for viewers.

Additionally, the new maps to be used in 'ASL Season 22' will be introduced for the first time during this Season Open. Fans will get an early look at the strategies players develop for these new maps before the official ASL season kicks off. The Season Open will consist of two rounds, with the first round broadcast live on Saturday, July 18, and the second on Saturday, July 25, both starting at 1:00 PM.
