On the 11st, Pearl Abyss held the '2026 Heidel Ball,' its premier annual event for the mobile MMORPG 'Black Desert Mobile,' to unveil its update roadmap for the second half of the year.
The event, which began at 5:00 PM, featured Ahn Hyung-gyu, Head of Game Design for Black Desert Mobile, along with GMs Morco and Noivella, who introduced the major upcoming content. The event was broadcast live globally in four languages via the official Black Desert Mobile YouTube and Chzzk channels.
At the event, Pearl Abyss presented its core focus areas: expanding growth goals through new equipment, streamlining existing content structures, revamping guild combat, and improving pets and seasonal content.

Expanding Growth Caps with the New 'Primordial' Grade Equipment

First is the new top-tier 'Primordial' grade equipment. This 'Primordial' equipment can be obtained in the upcoming new region, 'Ulukita,' and can be crafted starting from Blackstar equipment at enhancement level +9. Notably, it is designed to inherit the stats from the enhancement level of existing Blackstar equipment, ensuring that the progress adventurers have invested in their gear is not lost.
Measures to lower the barrier to growth were also announced. The combat power (CP) requirements for obtaining Karzhad accessories have been lowered, allowing players to acquire Karzhad rings in hunting grounds starting at 95k CP. Other tiers have also been adjusted to allow players to obtain accessories at 10k CP lower than before.

Consolidating Scattered Content and Revamping Guild Wars into 'Integrated Siege War'

One of the most significant announcements was the 'streamlining of content structure.' Pearl Abyss plans to consolidate similar content or rotate it on a periodic basis.
Consequently, family dispatch content such as 'Murrowak's Labyrinth,' 'Mirage,' and 'Tower of Training' will be removed, along with guild content like 'Guild Elite Attackers' and 'Guild Subjugation.' The 'Capotia' content will be renewed. 'Black Sun' and 'Night of the Wraith' will now run on a bi-weekly rotation with enhanced rewards, while the 'Aznak Battlefield,' 'Ramoness Battlefield,' and 'Musinje Team Battle' will open once every three weeks. World Boss content will also be improved, with bosses other than Tukar and Laytenn rotating bi-weekly, and the knowledge and rewards obtained upon defeat will be increased.

The core of guild combat—Node War and Siege War—will be merged into an 'Integrated Siege War.' The battlefield for this mode will be a massive open world, with the main castle in the north and fortresses on both sides of the central combat area. Guilds must employ various tactics to capture nodes based on their specific situations.
The winning guild will be rewarded with a new mount, 'Dream Doom.' 'Dream Doom' possesses more powerful offensive capabilities than the existing Dream Horse 'Doom' and can be used not only for travel but also in Siege War. Guilds can utilize 'Dream Doom' while they hold the castle. The Integrated Siege War is scheduled for release in the second half of 2026.

Pet Revamp and Enhanced Seasonal Convenience

The pet system is also being overhauled. Players can install a 'Pet Adoption Center' in their camp to adopt pets from generations 1 to 7, making it easier to complete their collection books.
Additionally, a new 8th-generation pet will be added. Players can attempt to upgrade a 7th-generation pet with level 2 skill expansion by using 200 'Leaves of Life.' The maximum skill level will be increased to 40, and special skill stats will also be boosted. The pet revamp will be applied on July 14.

A new season will also begin. Starting with the second season, a feature will be added to convert existing characters in the family into season characters, reducing the hassle of creating a new character each season. The second season will focus on the story of the 'Fairy,' and players can naturally collect the resources needed for fairy growth simply by progressing through the season.
Players who complete the season will receive a '[Chaos] Skill Vision Selection Chest' as a reward. The second season will launch globally on July 14.

Summer Event 'Dragon Palace' and New 'Citrus' Swimwear Revealed

The three-week summer event 'Dragon Palace' is inspired by the Korean folktale 'The Rabbit and the Turtle,' featuring a lighthearted and comedic story involving Mr. Goo and Mr. Rabbit. Players will embark on an adventure in the Dragon Palace following the story of the Dragon King, who has come down with heatstroke.
Separately, various summer-themed events will be held, including 'Hide! Seek!', 'Avoid the Waves!', 'Roar of the Deep Sea: Khan's Raid,' and 'Ghost-Hunting Artillery.' Through these events, players can exchange items for useful rewards such as Ogier's Blessing, Unidentified Archaic Skill Vision, and Scrolls of Order.

The new 'Citrus' outfit was also unveiled. This summer swimwear outfit, designed with the refreshing zest of oranges to beat the midsummer heat, can be worn by all transcendent classes in Black Desert Mobile. The 'Citrus' outfit will be updated on July 14.
Meanwhile, to celebrate this Heidel Ball, Pearl Abyss has provided global adventurers with various growth resources as in-game rewards, including 'W's Blessing,' 'Black Pearls,' 'Restoration Scrolls,' and a '300-pull Lucky Shop Ticket.'
