NC's development studio, Bigfire Games, has begun introducing its new shooter, 'CINDER CITY,' by releasing its first developer preview video and launching a Steam page.
On the 30th, Bigfire Games released a preview video for the open world tactical shooter CINDER CITY. The video features narration from the development team, who introduce the game's world, story, open world, and cooperative PvE content.
The game's world begins with a single event in the 23rd century. This event fundamentally alters the course of 21st-century history, turning Seoul into a ruin infested with mutated creatures and uncontrollable criminal organizations. In this twisted world, the last hope for humanity is the super-soldier known as a 'Cinder Knight.'
The developers explained that the game is built around three pillars: a tense cinematic shooting experience, a massive open world, and large-scale multiplayer. Players control 'Seven,' a Cinder Knight at the center of the story, and begin their journey with a mission to rescue a daughter named Joey in Samseong-dong. As the story unfolds, Seven faces the truths buried within the massive city of Seoul and finds themselves at the heart of a conflict that will determine the fate of humanity.

A relatively concrete direction for the narrative structure was also presented. The game is built on a narrative-driven structure that follows various characters and the conflicts and history surrounding them. The team also announced that they are developing various PvE cooperative content and multiplayer systems where multiple players can take on challenges together and experience a sense of accomplishment through teamwork.
Bigfire Games aims to weave story, action, and cooperative play into a single experience set in an alternate 21st-century Seoul—a dystopian world. Alongside this, they have opened a Steam store page and a Discord channel to begin engaging with users.
CINDER CITY was previously known by the project name 'LLL.' After confirming its official title last August, the game has gradually been revealed through appearances at Gamescom 2025 and G-STAR 2025. It was also recently announced that the game will officially support DLSS 4.5.
