Wemade Max (CEO Son Myeon-seok) announced on the 29th that it has released a 1st-anniversary update for 'Hellsquad Rrrush,' a roguelike casual defense game developed by its subsidiary, LightCON (CEO Lee Gil-hyung).

This update, marking the first anniversary of 'Hellsquad Rrrush,' features a variety of events and new content designed to thank global players and further enhance the gameplay experience.

First, the '1st Anniversary Grand Festival' offers players a chance to earn generous rewards. The event introduces a limited-edition anniversary skin and a new legendary character, 'Chu-Chu,' available via a pick-up banner. Additionally, intuitive events such as 'Ruby Box Draws' and 'Spin-the-Wheel' have been added to provide players with various rewards.

The newly added legendary character 'Chu-Chu' is a melee defense-type character that deploys a bloodsucking magic circle to deal continuous damage to nearby enemies. With a wide-area bloodsucking skill, Chu-Chu maintains high survivability even against multiple enemies and is specialized in holding the front line.

A special attendance event is also underway, allowing players to earn rich rewards just by logging in. A dedicated 28-day attendance sheet and 7-day special missions for returning players have also been introduced to help those coming back to the game progress quickly.

Furthermore, the game introduces its first new PVP content, 'Champions Arena.' This competitive mode supports cross-server matchmaking, allowing players to test their skills against others globally in real-time.

In addition, the overall system has been improved, including expanding synergy effects—previously limited to specific content—to apply across all game modes. These changes lower the barrier to entry for new players and create a gameplay environment that encourages a wider variety of team compositions and strategies.

'Hellsquad Rrrush' is a mobile title born from LightCON's casual game development initiative, the 'Rush Project,' which combines roguelike elements with the defense genre. Players can summon cute demon characters to fight against invading human legions and engage in strategic combat by combining in-game upgrade systems like 'Special Enhancements' and 'Treasures'.
