On the 25th, the 'Nakwon' development team released their 'June Dev Talk' via the official Steam community, announcing changes to community management and improvements to game systems. These details represent a portion of the content currently in development and are subject to change in the final version.
First, the process for answering Discord Q&As and suggestions is changing. Previously, the team provided individual responses as time permitted, but they will now shift to a bi-monthly cycle where questions are collected, curated, and answered in batches. This measure is intended to prevent duplicate or overlooked inquiries.
Additionally, major system improvements based on feedback from the recent closed alpha test were revealed. First, the underutilized Trap Skill is being overhauled. Previously, players could only equip one type of trap in an Active Skill Slot, which reduced the efficiency of trait progression.
To address this, trap placement will remain an Active Skill, while the use of different traps through trait progression will be converted into Passive Skills. Now, all traps can be used with a single Active Skill; players can switch between types using a ring command that appears when holding the skill key. The developers plan to apply this method to other skills with diverse options as well.
In line with the survival-focused resource management core of 'Nakwon,' an expiration date display for food items is being added. Previously, it was difficult to see the expiration dates of stored food at a glance, causing inconvenience. Now, the expiration date will be displayed directly on the icon, allowing players to easily manage items nearing their expiration without checking detailed information for each one.
The bulk transfer function for the Inventory will also be officially improved. The system has been refined to resolve the clunkiness of the 'Move All Material Items' button, which was temporarily introduced during the closed alpha. Now, holding the Alt key while clicking will move all items in that category to the Inventory at once. This will allow players to conveniently organize loot into specific storage containers like carriers or refrigerators after an expedition.
Finally, a key-binding feature is being added, addressing the inconvenience caused by the inability to change controls during the last test. Users will be able to customize key bindings as they wish, and work is also underway to support controllers.
Through screenshots, the developers hinted that major new content, such as character alignments, is currently in development. The team stated, "We showed you many interesting things during the alpha test, but we plan to show you even more exciting content in the future. We look forward to sharing it with you soon and seeing you enjoy the game."
