Nexon's upcoming summer showcase for MapleStory, 'Overdrive,' scheduled for June 13, is facing concerns over whether it can proceed as planned. The situation surrounding the event's venue, the Olympic Park Handball Gymnasium in Seoul, has emerged as a variable in the preparation schedule.

Overdrive is the first showcase to be held since Director Kim Chang-seop took office as the deputy head of the MapleStory division. As the event is set to reveal the future roadmap for MapleStory, it has drawn significant attention from users, with tickets selling out within one minute of release.

The uncertainty stems from the venue's location. The Olympic Park Handball Gymnasium was used as a counting station during the local elections on June 3 and became the focal point of a ballot shortage incident. Since the incident, large crowds of citizens have gathered near the site, and access to the area remains restricted as of the 8th.

The issue lies in the timing. While the event is set for the 13rd, large-scale stage installation and other preparatory work typically begin two to three days in advance. To ensure a smooth setup, on-site work would need to start this Wednesday. However, current conditions around the venue make it difficult to begin preparations.
