Nexon announced today (the 26th) the planned improvements following the domestic Closed Beta Test (CBT) for 'Azur Promilia,' a subculture open-world RPG developed by Manjuu Games and set to be published by Nexon.
'Azur Promilia' is an open-world RPG that follows the journey of a 'Star-Linker'—the player's avatar who descends into the world of Promilia—as they travel alongside beautiful girls from various races. The game distinguishes itself by allowing players to build bonds with mysterious creatures called 'Kibo' and enjoy high-freedom content, including exploration, combat, and construction.
During its first domestic CBT, held from May 15 to 18, 'Azur Promilia' was well-received for its attractive character designs, cute Kibo, fast-paced combat, and well-structured housing system. However, it also faced criticism regarding the difficulty of certain mini-games, desynced character voice lines, awkward translations, and inconvenient UI/UX elements.
In response, Nexon collected user feedback through the 22nd, relayed it to the developer, and has now compiled and released a list of planned improvements. These include providing guides for mini-games, adjusting difficulty levels, fixing dubbing synchronization, resizing fonts, and enhancing UI/UX for repetitive tasks. Notably, the team plans to improve control responsiveness through custom key bindings and better gamepad compatibility. Furthermore, they intend to boost immersion by conducting a comprehensive review of audio, including hit sounds and background music transitions.
Additionally, the developers announced plans to accelerate the somewhat slow story progression and improve the user experience by separating the unlock timing and tutorials for different systems, such as housing and combat. Other wide-ranging quality-of-life improvements were also mentioned, including the removal of weekly treasure chest key limits, the addition of 'equip all' and 'unequip all' functions, the placement of more 'Star-Vein' teleport nodes, and reduced satiety consumption while riding mounts. Finally, the company promised a comfortable gameplay environment for Korean users, emphasizing their commitment to providing high-quality localization by supporting Korean dubbing and reviewing translation feedback for the official release.
Further details and information regarding the post-CBT improvements for Azur Promilia can be found on the official community page.
