Applications for the '2026 Game Development AI Transformation (AX) Support Program,' organized by the Korea Game Developers Association, the Korea Mobile Game Association, and the Korea AI Game Association, opened on the 18th and will run through the 27th.
This AX support program is designed to help domestic small and medium-sized game developers, indie game teams, and solo creators integrate AI technology into their development environments, aiming to boost productivity, reduce production costs, strengthen creative capabilities, and secure global competitiveness.
The program aims to lower the barrier to AI adoption for game developers through practical, on-site support and to increase the use of AI across development processes for small and indie studios, ultimately building a sustainable foundation for the Game AI Transformation (AX) ecosystem in the domestic industry.
Support for AI solution subscription fees is tiered by company size: up to ₩5 million for approximately 200 companies with 1–2 employees; up to ₩10 million for approximately 150 companies with 3–10 employees; up to ₩20 million for approximately 100 companies with 11–20 employees; and up to ₩50 million for approximately 50 companies with 21–50 employees. Applications can be submitted via the respective associations' websites from 10:00 AM on May 18 to 3:00 PM on May 27. Duplicate applications are not permitted.
The program is open to all game developers, with the exception of companies belonging to large business groups subject to disclosure, as well as companies or individuals already selected for the 2026 Korea Creative Content Agency game production support (excluding indie game dev camp selections) or other AI support programs from different ministries or agencies in 2026.
An online information session will be held via Zoom on May 22 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM to help prospective applicants better understand the program. Further information, the meeting link, and detailed application guidelines are available on the websites of each association.
