Level Infinite's The Blood of Dawnwalker will be released on September 3, 2026, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The Blood of Dawnwalker unveiled a new story trailer, gameplay footage, and release date during a recent showcase. The game is a single-player, open-world dark fantasy action RPG currently in development at Rebel Wolves, a studio founded by developers of The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077.
Rebel Wolves introduced The Blood of Dawnwalker as the first chapter in an entirely new role-playing saga.
The game is set in 14th-century Europe, ravaged by war and the Black Death. As humanity weakens, vampires emerge from the shadows to seize power, joined by other monstrous threats. Players take on the role of Koyen, a 'Dawnwalker' who exists between day and night, as he fights to save his family.
Koyen can operate as a vampire by night and a human by day. At night, he can transform into a wolf for rapid travel, consume blood to recover health, and utilize vampire abilities. While human blood is most effective, animal blood can also be used for recovery. During the day, he assumes human form to wield blood magic and other magical abilities, with certain content accessible only during daylight hours.
When Koyen consumes blood, a 'Corruption' level at the bottom of the screen increases. A higher Corruption level allows players to purchase more vampire perks.

Koyen has 30 days to save his family. Time does not pass in real-time, allowing players to explore the world freely. Actions that advance time are clearly indicated, and time is consumed when reaching specific quest milestones or making certain choices.
In this game, time functions as a resource. However, the developers have ensured that time does not become an overly restrictive constraint; running out of time does not necessarily result in a 'game over,' but rather alters the outcome as the story continues.
The game also features a reputation system. A player's actions influence their reputation, which in turn affects the game world's difficulty and the progression of the story.
In The Blood of Dawnwalker, open-world activities are not merely side content but have a direct impact on the narrative. Every choice carries consequences, presenting both risks and rewards, and significantly influences the development of Koyen's character.
The accompanying story trailer provides the first look at Koyen, his family, potential allies, and various supporting characters, offering insight into their motivations and intentions.
Further information regarding The Blood of Dawnwalker can be found on the official website and through the released showcase video.
