Team Vitality won BLAST Open Rotterdam after defeating Natus Vincere (NAVI) 3-0 in the tournament’s Grand Final on March 29th. According to a release, the Counter-Strike 2 team secured its third trophy of 2026 following earlier victories at IEM Kraków and PGL Cluj-Napoca.
The result continued Team Vitality’s strong start to the year and added another title to a roster featuring Dan ‘apEX’ Madesclaire, Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut, Robin ‘ropz’ Kool, William ‘mezii’ Merriman and Shahar ‘flameZ’ Shushan.
According to the release, Team Vitality opened its BLAST Open Rotterdam campaign with a 2-0 win over 9z before recording further 2-0 victories against The MongolZ and PARIVISION. The organisation then beat Aurora Gaming 2-0 in the semifinals to reach the final, where it completed a flawless run by sweeping NAVI. The event featured 16 teams and took place at Rotterdam Ahoy Arena in the Netherlands. According to the release, ‘ropz’ was named the event’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) after his performances throughout the tournament, including the final against NAVI.
The latest result also moved Team Vitality closer to the ESL Grand Slam, a prize awarded to teams that win four top-level ESL-linked events within a set period. According to the release, the organisation now needed one more eligible tournament victory to claim the $1m (~£790,000) bonus.
Team Vitality’s win in Rotterdam added further momentum to what has already been one of the strongest starts to a year in Counter-Strike 2. With titles from BLAST Open Rotterdam, IEM Kraków and PGL Cluj-Napoca, the French organisation has strengthened its case as one of the leading teams in the current CS2 landscape.
