Riot Games has announced Spiritforged, the second set for Riftbound: The League of Legends Trading Card Game, with release windows set for December 2025 in China and February 2026 in English. The expansion follows the debut set, Origins, and continues the game’s push to translate Runeterra’s champions and factions into a physical tabletop format.

Spiritforged adds more than 200 new cards and introduces fresh Champion Decks designed to be playable out of the box. Riot highlighted several marquee champions joining the lineup, including Ezreal, Fiora, Irelia, Lucian and Rumble. The studio says the new cards are built to expand deck-building options across factions while preserving the series’ accessible ruleset and quick, decision-focused matches.

After Origins, Spiritforged slices into Riftbound

For players new to Riftbound, the physical TCG aims to blend approachable mechanics with strategic depth. Matches support traditional 1v1 play alongside optional 2v2 and four-player free-for-all modes, and champion-led strategies remain central to how decks are constructed and piloted. Spiritforged will also ship with two new Champion Decks to help newcomers jump in without building from scratch.

Riftbound continues to pull from League of Legends’ lore, with champions and regions shaping playstyles and synergies. Riot is positioning the card game as a long-term platform, with regular expansions planned to refresh the meta and introduce new mechanics over time. The company says quality-of-life polish and community-centered features are a focus at launch and beyond.
