On the 12th, Krafton announced that it has deployed the 36.1 live-server update for PUBG: Battlegrounds. This update focuses on overhauling the ranked system. A new tier—including the top “Survivor” rank—has been added, and Rank Points (RP) are now unified across all party sizes and camera perspectives. The recall feature from Casual matches and the Red Zone have also been introduced into Ranked play.

Weapon balance has been adjusted as well. The assault rifle AUG’s damage has been reduced from 41 to 40, while the designated-marksman rifle VSS’s damage has been increased from 43 to 45 and its bullet velocity has been improved. Additionally, certain weapons such as the VSS and SCAR-L will now spawn naturally on every map.

Meanwhile, the “2025 Black Market,” where players can earn progressive weapon skins, has opened. A new system has also been added to the in-game store allowing certain items to be purchased either with paid currency (Z-Coins) or with in-game currency (BP), improving accessibility for users.
