'ATYPIAN,' a new story-driven adventure game from Team A_EGO that blends classic JRPG sensibilities with a cyberpunk setting, has launched a crowdfunding campaign to prepare for its official release.

Set in a chaotic capital city, ATYPIAN features a unique premise where the protagonist must run an inn while keeping their true identity hidden. Players take on the role of the innkeeper, who becomes a 'half-monster' after consuming a potion given by a mysterious guest, and must track down clues while avoiding suspicion within a 10-day time limit.

ATYPIAN began as a pilot project and won the Graphics Award at the '1-Chicken RPG Maker Game Jam 2025.' The development team has spent the past year refining the game and incorporating ideas that were previously left out, aiming to present an enhanced, expanded version through this crowdfunding campaign.

The expanded version will feature new characters, side quests, and a cooking system with various recipes. It will also include quality-of-life improvements, Steam achievements, and a partial story overhaul, all designed to provide a richer gameplay experience.

The developers, Team A_EGO, stated, "We launched this crowdfunding campaign to bring our work to a wider audience. The participation and interest of players will be a great help in elevating the game's quality."
