Seal M on CROSS earns top spot among Google Play RPGs in Thailand and Indonesia

Seal M on CROSS, a mobile role-playing game jointly published by NEXUS and Playwith Korea, ranked second for Google Play role-playing game revenue in Thailand and Indonesia, according to a release citing data from analytics platform Sensor Tower.

The release said the rankings were recorded as of March 31st and highlighted the title’s commercial traction in Southeast Asia (SEA), a region that remains one of the most competitive markets for mobile MMORPGs.

According to the release, the game’s performance also affected rewards on CROSS Wave, a streamer platform connected to the wider CROSS ecosystem. NEXUS said CROSS Wave’s reward pool was tied to game revenue, with the pool for Seal M on CROSS increasing from around 80,000 $CROSS to 700,000 $CROSS following the game’s growth. NEXUS positioned that increase as evidence of a model in which creators benefited as a game attracted more players and revenue.

According to the release, industry observers attributed the title’s early momentum to a combination of the Seal intellectual property’s existing recognition, the monetisation potential of the massively multiplayer online role-playing game genre and the broader infrastructure built around the CROSS platform. The company also pointed to activity across multiple parts of its ecosystem, including CROSS Play, a mini-app used for missions tied to pre-registration and gameplay, and CROSS Wave, which it said supported promotion and community engagement through streamers and creators.

Henry Chang, CEO of NEXUS, said: “Seal M on CROSS has established itself as the most successful game ever on the CROSS gamechain.

“Its strong performance is now drawing a wave of other IPs and studios to replicate the powerful synergy between proven Web2 games and Web3 platforms.”

The results marked a notable commercial milestone for NEXUS and Playwith Korea as both companies continued to push Seal M on CROSS in SEA’s mobile games market, where role-playing titles remain a major revenue driver on Android storefronts.
