Riot Games brings back VALORANT’s PC Bang VAL Pieces event

Riot Games has brought back its PC Bang VAL Pieces event for VALORANT, giving players in South Korea the chance to earn in-game rewards through playtime at PC bangs. According to a release, the event runs for around six weeks and is set to continue until April 28th. The initiative rewards players for cumulative playtime at PC bangs — a popular form of LAN café in South Korea — as well as for trying newly added content.

Players receive 100 VAL Pieces when they first visit the event page, which can be exchanged for ten Radianite Points. They also earn ten VAL Pieces for every ten minutes spent playing VALORANT at a participating PC bang. Riot has also tied extra rewards to the game’s latest additions. According to the release, players who try the newly introduced Agent MIKS and the Team Elimination mode, both added as part of Act 2, can earn up to an additional 200 VAL Pieces.

In total, players can collect up to 5,220 VAL Pieces during the campaign. Those pieces can then be used in the event’s exchange shop for rewards including Radianite Points, in-game items and PC bang mileage coupons. Riot also says players can use the currency to enter prize draws for gaming peripherals and VALORANT merchandise.

Riot continues to expand PC bang-linked promotions

The return of the VAL Pieces campaign marks Riot’s latest push to connect its games with South Korea’s PC bang culture.

According to the release, the company has previously run similar promotions tied to the launch of League of Legends’ 2026 Season 1, offering rewards based on cumulative PC bang playtime and access to prize draws. Riot also ran a PC bang event for fighting game 2XKO around the release of its new character Caitlyn and Season 1, rewarding players with mobile coupons if they play the character at least once per day.

A Riot Games spokesperson stated that PC bangs are one of the key touchpoints that expand the player experience, and that they will continue to develop a variety of events connected to PC bangs in the future.

The move reflects Riot’s broader effort to strengthen offline engagement in one of its most important regional markets. While VALORANT’s global esports ecosystem continues to grow through its international circuit, local promotions such as the PC Bang VAL Pieces event show how the publisher is also focusing on community participation at grassroots level.
