Premier esports organization DRX announced Monday that its League of Legends player Trần Bảo Minh, known in-game as “LazyFeel,” attended the Korea–Vietnam state banquet on Aug. 11 at the Blue House State Guest House in Seoul.
LazyFeel, signed by DRX from Vietnam, made his League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) debut this year as the league’s first-ever Vietnamese national and foreign player. His appearance at the banquet marked the first time a foreign esports athlete in the LCK has been invited to such a high-profile diplomatic event, highlighting esports’ growing role in cross-cultural exchange.
First for LCK and Cross-Cultural Esports
At the event, LazyFeel stood alongside top executives from South Korea’s largest conglomerates, as well as political, financial, cultural and sports leaders. DRX noted that his attendance was a point of pride for both the Vietnamese community in South Korea and his fans at home, while also resonating with Korean supporters. The organization said it expects the moment to contribute positively to cultural and sports relations between the two nations.
Earlier this year, LazyFeel was a featured guest at the “2025 Korea Travel Festa,” held in Ho Chi Minh City and hosted by South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. There, he participated in fan interactions and promotional events aimed at boosting Korean esports and tourism awareness in Vietnam.

DRX CEO Sun Il Yang described the banquet appearance as “more than just an achievement as an esports player—it is a meaningful step in connecting the cultures and sports of Korea and Vietnam.”
The Seoul-based organization has focused on scouting talent from Southeast Asia in recent years, with LazyFeel serving as a prominent example of its international recruitment strategy. DRX said it plans to continue supporting players from diverse backgrounds to succeed at the highest levels of global esports.
