Netmarble Debuts Unreal Engine 5–Powered Co-Op Action Game Project Evil Bane

Netmarble announced on June 9 that it has for the first time unveiled its upcoming cooperative action game, “Project Evil Bane”.

Project Evil Bane is being developed by Netmarble Monster on Unreal Engine 5. Expanding the universe of Raven—the six-time winner at the 2015 Korea Game Awards—it tells the story of players joining a Special Task Force to battle against legions of demons.

The game centers on cooperative play for up to four users, who work together to complete missions. Presented from a third-person shooter (TPS) perspective, it features fluid transitions between melee and ranged combat, allowing for strategic maneuvers such as parrying enemy attacks or dodging and counter-striking.

Players grow their characters with rewards earned through mission completion, then tackle higher-tier missions in turn. Outcomes in each mission affect the shared world, demanding close collaboration among players.

Netmarble plans to run a free-alpha test of Project Evilbane in the second half of this year, using player feedback to polish the game’s systems and content. Detailed information on the game will be published later on the official website.
