Highlights from attendee feedback on the first national convention for NACE

The National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) completed its first national convention in Atlanta last month.  This convention marked the largest gathering of administrators from colleges and universities specifically on varsity-level esports with 139 institutions represented.  These institutions ranged from two-year institutions, small private colleges, to large state institutions and came from across the U.S. and Canada.

Here are some recaps and insights collected from the post-convention survey to attendees:

- Roughly 40% of attendees represented institutions who were not currently members of NACE
- 98.15% of responses indicated the convention was the valuable use of time
- All respondents indicated they would be interested in attending another NACE national convention
- 95% of attendees who went on the Hi-Rez and SkillShot tours thought it was beneficial
- On a scale of 1 (Not at all Satisfied) to 5 (Extremely Satisfied), the convention scored a weighted average of 4.15
- Roughly 80% of attendees prefer a convention in the summer
- Esports Program Development ranked as the highest rated professional development panel
- The Social and the Keynote were ranked as the two highest-rated general session

If your institution or city is interested in hosting the convention in the future, please reach out to info@nacesports.org.
