Kabam marked the 11th anniversary of its mobile fighting game Marvel Contest of Champions on Tuesday with a new trailer, in-game rewards, and a slate of holiday events extending through early January.

The anniversary trailer debuted during a special livestream and was voiced by Sam Reich, a media executive, writer, producer, comedian, and actor. The video teased the arrival of J. Jonah Jameson, the longtime editor-in-chief of the Daily Bugle, as a playable Champion slated to join the game’s roster in 2026.

As part of the anniversary celebration, Kabam is distributing several rewards to players. These include the 2025 Summoner’s Choice Champion, Mr. Knight, as well as a unique player title reflecting the number of years each account has spent in the game’s Battlerealm. A seven-day anniversary supply drop calendar is also scheduled to run from Dec. 11 through Dec. 18, offering daily in-game items.

Holiday events and new Champions arrive through January

Beyond the anniversary rewards, Kabam outlined a broader set of holiday updates. Two new Champions are being introduced: Imperiosa, available now, and Spider-Man (Pavitr Prabhakar), inspired by the city of Mumbattan, arriving on Dec. 18.

The developer is also collaborating with Marvel Cosmic Invasion from Dec. 8 through Jan. 8. The crossover includes a limited-time Cosmic Invasion Solo Event within Marvel Contest of Champions, allowing players to earn themed profile pictures and titles, with additional crossover content planned for 2026.

Another major component is the return of the game’s annual Banquet Event, running from Dec. 19 to Jan. 2. The event features multiple activities tied to the anniversary and New Year period, along with opportunities to acquire newly introduced 7-Star Champions, including Absorbing Man, Valkyrie, Scorpion, Kingpin, Punisher, and Super-Skrull.

Kabam is also launching time-limited giveaways aimed at new and existing players. A “Naughty or Nice” bundle for new accounts will be available from Dec. 10 through Jan. 14, while a separate inbound delivery event from Dec. 24 to Jan. 7 will grant free rewards based on player progression tiers, ranging from 4-Star to 7-Star Champions.
