Marvel Rivals, the Marvel-based cooperative PVP shooter, has unveiled details for Season 7.5, the second half of Season 7, which begins on April 17. The update introduces a new Duelist, 'Black Cat,' to the battlefield, alongside a variety of content including the new PVE mode 'Blood Hunt' and the Hellfire Gala event.

First, with the launch of Season 7.5 on the 17th, the popular Marvel Comics hero 'Black Cat' will join the roster as a new Duelist. Known by her real name, Felicia Hardy, Black Cat—who also appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man films—is a hero noted for her thievery skills, acrobatics, and her ability to inflict bad luck on her opponents. In the game, she utilizes these signature abilities to siphon luck from her enemies, allowing her to unleash even more powerful attacks.

She also employs skills like 'Ghost Chase,' which allows her to instantly close the gap with an opponent and launch a surprise attack. Her ultimate ability lets her deal cards to all enemies, attack them like a phantom, and immediately dash toward a target to deal critical damage. Finally, she can exchange the luck stolen from enemies for 'Gilded Saints,' which can be used to acquire Thieves Guild treasures like 'Jonas' Ring' and 'Hades' Helm.' These items provide tactical advantages not only to her but to the entire team.

New team-up skills are also being added. A combination of Black Cat, White Fox, and Captain America can trigger a team-up ability, where Black Cat’s 'luck bestowal' allows the other heroes to unleash more powerful combat techniques.

The 2026 'Hellfire Gala' event will return via an update on the 23rd. New limited-edition themed costumes for popular heroes like Magik, Gambit, and Phoenix will be revealed, and Emma Frost's 'Gala Star Costume'—the winner of the 2025 Hellfire Gala vote—will be given to all players for free. A new Hellfire Gala vote will also begin to determine the star of 2026.

Following the update on the 30th, players can experience the prologue event for 'Journey to Doomsday.' This includes an Avengers mode and new combat gameplay centered around Loki.

Finally, after the last update on the 30th, PC client optimizations will be implemented, including a feature that allows players to selectively delete high-resolution packs to free up storage space.
