Nexon (co-CEOs Kang Dae-hyun and Kim Jung-wook) announced on the 28th that it is rebranding the Nexon Computer Museum (Director Park Doo-san) as 'Nexon Museum.' Following a four-month renovation, the museum is set to reopen on May 12.
Moving beyond its identity as Asia's first computer museum, Nexon Museum is being reborn as a gaming brand hub that reinterprets Nexon's 30-year heritage through modern media. Unlike traditional museums focused on the history of technology, it defines the 'player' as the primary creator of gaming joy and focuses on games as a culture built collectively by them.

Furthermore, the museum will showcase a unique offline space where visitors can experience virtual worlds firsthand, featuring the history of online games led by South Korea and Nexon, and bringing users' play records to life through sensory experiences. It is the only place in the country where visitors can encounter Nexon's diverse IPs, each with its own fandom, in a three-dimensional setting. Industry observers note that this exhibition is something only Nexon could pull off, given its portfolio of over 40 IPs spanning generations, including 'The Kingdom of the Winds'—which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year—'KARTRIDER,' 'MapleStory,' 'Mabinogi,' and 'Dungeon & Fighter.
A key feature of the exhibition is the personalized experience: visitors can log in with their own Nexon accounts to view play records scattered across multiple games in one place. The matched IP will appear in various forms from the beginning to the end of the exhibition, accompanying the visitor throughout their journey. For visitors who register as guests, a random IP will be assigned, providing an opportunity to discover Nexon's diverse range of games.
Along with the rebranding, Nexon Museum is introducing a new logo. The logo, which signifies the intersection of the real and virtual worlds, is a stylized, three-dimensional inversion of the core elements of the Nexon CI. Designed in the shape of a 'door' leading into the museum, it symbolizes the start of an adventure into a new dimension beyond everyday life.
Nexon Museum Director Park Doo-san stated, "Nexon Museum is not just a space for exhibiting games, but a place where the experiences and memories of every individual player come alive. We will continue to introduce fresh content and experiences to ensure it becomes a must-visit hub for gaming culture that every gamer should experience at least once."
