Nongshim RedForce secured a 2-0 sweep against BNK FEARX in the first round of the 2026 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) regular season, held at LoL PARK in Jongno on the 15th. In both games, the team built early leads through skirmishes and successfully snowballed those advantages into victory.

Early in Game 1, BNK FEARX's 'Raptor' invaded the enemy jungle on Xin Zhao to take down 'Sponge's' Pantheon, though he subsequently gave up a kill to 'Taeyoon's' Nilah. Meanwhile, in the mid lane, 'Daystar's' Akali received help from Xin Zhao to secure a kill on 'Scout's' Azir.

Nongshim later gained an advantage by winning fights in the bottom lane and river area. While Nongshim consistently came out ahead in small-scale skirmishes, BFX managed to mitigate their losses through their signature aggressive playstyle. At the 20-minute mark, Nongshim took the Baron and held their own in the ensuing teamfight.

BFX struggled to withstand 'Taeyoon's' Nilah in standard front-to-back teamfights. Ultimately, Nongshim overwhelmed BFX in a decisive 5v5 teamfight to take the first game.

In Game 2, a fight broke out in the mid lane. Although BFX initially appeared to have the better positioning, Nongshim's movement—dodging Anivia's wall and Jarvan's sonic wave—allowed them to take down Ryze and Lee Sin. Shortly after, another skirmish erupted in the mid lane where Nongshim picked up two more kills, followed by another victory in a bottom lane fight.

The fight in the top lane proved even more devastating. Nongshim utilized Bard's ultimate to initiate a favorable engagement, securing a one-sided advantage. As Nongshim continued to win skirmishes, the kill score reached 18-4 by the 24-minute mark. Despite the kill deficit and the lost Baron, the gold gap remained relatively manageable for BFX at around 4,000 to 5,000.

While defending, BFX's Kalista and Renata attempted a surprise engage on Jhin, who lacked Flash, but they were wiped out instead, allowing Nongshim to destroy the mid inhibitor and widen the gold lead. However, BFX's 'Diable' made a bold play to secure a quadra kill, closing the gold gap significantly by collecting shutdown gold. Fortunately for Nongshim, they successfully closed out the next teamfight, destroyed the BFX Nexus, and secured a 2-0 series victory.
