Japanese indie development circle Permanent Papyrus has announced a collaboration between its upcoming title, 'Erase -Missing Link-,' and the Kyoto Sanjo-kai Shopping District. The partnership will feature the real-life shopping district in the game, along with a dedicated mini-scenario. The developers also teased offline events at the shopping district around the game's launch, as well as store-based novelty collaborations.

'Erase -Missing Link-' is a TCG adventure game set in the streets of Kyoto, revolving around a mysterious card game called 'Erase,' which promises that 'whoever reaches the top will be granted the power of magic.' As the protagonist, Uzura Natsuyagi, challenges formidable opponents to reach the top and builds connections along the way, a series of mysterious deaths in the town plunges the story into a labyrinth of intrigue.

Inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft, the creator of the Cthulhu Mythos, and Robert W. Chambers, who influenced Lovecraft, the game features a mechanic where the protagonist's sanity decreases as she approaches the abyss, eventually succumbing to madness. Amidst this descent into insanity, players must navigate multiple time loops to uncover the truth behind the prophecies and events recorded in texts like 'The King in Yellow.'

Gameplay follows standard TCG mechanics where players deploy cards from their hand based on cost to reduce the opponent's HP to zero. This is enhanced by a 3-match puzzle system integrated into the cost recovery and card effect activation processes, allowing for strategic depth through small combos that more actively disrupt the opponent's play.
