MEGA, the company behind the Esports Awards, has appointed Morgan Tremaine, Executive Producer at MEGA, as it looks to expand its live events and partner activations.
According to a release, Tremaine will oversee the development and production of MEGA’s events portfolio, including the Esports Awards, while also supporting the commercial and creative development of its wider projects. The appointment comes after Tremaine had already worked on the Esports Awards as a producer since 2023.
Tremaine joined MEGA’s senior leadership team as the company continued to grow its events business. In addition to the Esports Awards, MEGA has also operated other awards properties such as the Mobies and the Decade Awards.
Before taking on the new role, Tremaine built experience across esports, broadcast and live production. According to the release, his background included roles at TMZ and Esports Engine, alongside work on projects such as TwitchCon, Twitch Rivals and the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games on Twitch.
He is also the Founder and CEO of Cuer, a broadcast rundown software company. According to the release, Tremaine has worked with brands including Ford, Samsung and Doritos, while collaborating on productions involving creators such as Pokimane, Quackity and the Botez Sisters. In the new position, Tremaine will also work with publishers, platforms and commercial partners across MEGA’s events and agency projects, according to the release.
“I’m thrilled to be taking on the role of Executive Producer at MEGA after having previously produced and directed the Esports Awards,” Tremaine said. “The creativity, talent, and ambition across the team is incredible, and I look forward to collaborating with publishers, platforms and partners to grow the scale, quality, and industry impact of our ceremonies."
Michael Ashford, Co-founder of MEGA, added: “Morgan has been a pivotal part of producing our flagship Esports Awards show, and promoting him to Executive Producer marks a defining moment for MEGA, as we aim to take our event IPs to new heights. “We are confident that, with Morgan, MEGA will continue to set the standard for live esports and entertainment experiences, delivering unforgettable moments for our audiences and partners alike.”
MEGA has continued to build out its awards-focused event portfolio in recent years. Alongside its flagship Esports Awards ceremony, the company’s Mobies has focused on mobile gaming and esports, while the Decade Awards celebrated 10 years of the Esports Awards brand.
