PUBG Mobile is partnering with the University of Southern California to integrate the battle royale title’s user-generated content platform into the school’s curriculum next year. The collaboration will introduce World of Wonder—PUBG Mobile’s map-creation and co-creation suite—to USC Games’ upcoming Games as a Service and Live Operations (GLO) course.
The class, set to run from January through May 2026, will use World of Wonder as a hands-on development tool. Students will be able to conceptualize, build, and refine in-game experiences with feedback from PUBG Mobile’s player community. According to both collaborators, the initiative is intended to give aspiring developers practical experience with live-service operations, player engagement, and iterative design, while highlighting the game’s ongoing push to expand its creator ecosystem.
USC Games remains one of the most recognized academic programs in the interactive entertainment field, frequently topping rankings for game design education. Program leaders said the partnership aims to enhance professional readiness for students pursuing careers in game development, production, and live-ops roles.
PUBG MOBILE PARTNERS WITH UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA’S USC GAMES PROGRAM TO SUPPORT NEXT GENERATION OF GAME CREATORS
As part of the course, student-built projects will be showcased during the annual USC Games Expo in May 2026. Top-performing participants will also be considered for summer 2026 internship interviews with PUBG Mobile, offering a potential entry point into the games industry. USC Games advised students and followers to stay tuned to its official channels for additional details closer to the course launch.
The collaboration builds on PUBG Mobile’s broader education and talent-development efforts. The game has partnered with more than 50 universities globally to provide training, tools, and career opportunities in the gaming sector. World of Wonder has seen rapid adoption among players, with more than 4.4 million maps created and over 33 billion matches played across user-made content, according to PUBG Mobile.
PUBG Mobile recently expanded support for creators by rolling out an updated incentive program featuring a $10 million prize pool. World of Wonder Version 1.0, released in September 2025, opened creation tools to all players. The USC partnership aims to inspire new voices in game development while supplying PUBG Mobile’s community with fresh, student-driven experiences.
