[Official] Jiizuke comes to the LCS, joining Evil Geniuses

Daniele "Jiizuke" di Mauro - AKA the Italian Stallion - has come to the LCS in perhaps the most on-brand signing of the entire off-season, joining Evil Geniuses. After his Worlds Group Draw fiasco, there is no denying this mid laner fits perfectly. Despite rumors of Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon, fan pleas for Tanner "Damonte" Damonte, and other possible signings, none of those would provide quite the same Evil Geniuses image as Jiizuke.

While it all worked out for FNC in the end (at least in Groups), Jiizuke drawing an upside down RNG into their group - after already drawing them into SKT - and boasting this soft look of pride spells pure Evil.

Other than his Group Draw betrayal, Jiizuke is most well known for his past Worlds appearance in 2018, playing mid for Vitality. In his rookie season, he led the team to Worlds and almost advanced to the Quarters in an incredibly difficult group. Coming in to the final day with a 1-2 record, he and Vitality beat both RNG and GenG to play their final game against Cloud9, who took the win and a Knockout advancement.

His vibrant play and emotive personality took him to the All-Star Event that year as well, winning over the hearts of fans and Rioters alike. Unfortunately, Jiizuke didn't have quite as strong of a 2019, failing to qualify for Worlds in his second year. But with an MVP jungler, World Champion, and Worlds Semifinalist on his team, he is in a strong position to fight to make it back.

EG has now finalized their roster and have announced both Heo "Irean" Yeong-Cheol and Connor "Artemis" Doyle as coaches. All that's left is an Academy roster, support staff, and the famous NA Bootcamp and they'll be a full fledged LCS org. Check back here for more off-season news and let us know on Twitter what you think of the new EG roster.
