Evil Geniuses returns to the LCS after four years away, buying out the Echo Fox slot in the LCS franchise. Not choosing to recycle the FOX roster, EG had a lot of work to do and little time to do it, needing to acquire 10 players (LCS and Academy) as well as their coaches, managers, etc.
Their first move was acquiring four Cloud9 players in a deal announced by ESPN, later confirmed by EG. After those signings, EG has looked to upgrade some of its roster and complete it with a mid laner. Overall, they've made some big moves to sign strong names, and if the rest comes together, could look to be a strong playoff/Worlds contender in their first year back.
