Hearthstone reveals newest expansion, Saviors of Uldum

▲ Hearthstone's newest expansion returns a few familiar faces.

The League of Explorers are back at it again. This time, Reno Jackson, Brann Bronzebeard, Sir Finley Mrrgglton, and Elise Starseeker will be featured in the newly teased expansion, Saviors of Uldum, which is slated to go live on August 6.

As the League of E.V.I.L is looking to extend their reach from the city of Dalaran to Uldum, players will attempt to put an end to their reign in a new 135-card set and a single-player adventure mode.

Saviors of Uldum was revealed Monday afternoon with a developer video and a cinematic trailer with a song, as is tradition.

What's unique about the expansion is the return of Quest cards and a new keyword called "Reborn." As the name suggests, after a minion with Reborn dies for the first time, they return to the field with one health. Additionally, each of the five villain classes (Warlock, Priest, Warrior, Shaman and Rogue) will receive a powerful "Plague" card that have powerful board-clearing abilities.

Eight cards in total have been revealed thus far from the upcoming expansion.

Prior to the expansion going live in August, players will have the option to purchase two pre-purchase bundles, one for $49.99 (bottom bundle) and one for $79.99 (top bundle).

More information will be shared as the launch date approaches but Hearthstone fans now have something new (and old) to look forward to experiencing again.
