GEN Ruler on Life: "Before, he was kind of air-headed... He's a mediocre support now."

Gen.G Esports recorded a clean sheet by defeating Jin Air Green Wings by 2-0.

13th June, Seoul, Gen.G Esports faced Jin Air Green Wings in the second week of LCK 2019 summer split. Gen.G dominated their opponent with impressing performances. Support Kim “Life” Jung-min and jungler Han “Peanut” Wang-Ho were named as MVPs in games 1 and 2, respectively. Although Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk was not named MVP, he simply played well on Yasuo. After the match, Ruler was interviewed by the press.

The following is an interview with Gen.G Esports bot laner, Ruler.

Congratulations on the second win of the season. How do you feel?

It wasn’t that clean, but I’m always happy when we win 2-0. We should have rolled the snowball faster, but it got delayed too much.

You are known for not playing many non-ADCs. Why did you play Yasuo today?

Whatever pick comes up, we had like a manual to counter them. We have many more cards prepared.

It seems that your synergy with Life is really good. How is he?

Before, he was kind of air-headed (laughs), but he’s been getting smarter and our teamwork is getting better. He’s a mediocre support now.

The LCK is in chaos. How far do you think Gen.G can go? And which team up to now do you think is doing the best?

We’ll have to see how it goes, but I think we’ll be able to get to the playoffs if we do our best. Up to now, Kingzone seems to be doing the best, thinking of the results. Their macro and teamfights are all impressive.

What do you think about Yuumi?

She’s a champion that can appear anytime. She’s really good to play in games.

Any last comments?

We’ve only played three games, so we have far to go. I want to deliver even better performance in the future, and I’d like to thank the fans who always cheer for us.
