On the 5th of May, the 2019 Mid Season Invitational (MSI) Play-In Stage Day 3 was held in Vietnam. With 5W - 1L Vega Squadron (VEG) finished 1st place in Group B and advanced to the Knockout Stage. 2nd place went to DetontioN FocusMe (DFM) on a 4W - 2L record.

In game 1, DFM's strategy was on point. They focused on their mid to late game by picking Vladimir-Sivir in the pick & ban phase. DFM successfully countered INTZ's strategies and managed to secure a win. Game 2 was VEG vs MEGA. The game was quite competitive to the mid to late game. However, VEG widened the gap by securing a Baron and eventually won.

DFM also picked up a precious victory in game 3. They focused their resources in the bottom lane. They started to dominate the game after their Miss Fortune solo killed MEGA's Irelia. DFM managed to win most of the remaining teamfights and destroyed MEGA's Nexus.

In game 4, VEG faced INTZ. With VEG's Sejuani picking up first blood, they started to quickly snowball in the early game. Soon most of their champions hit their power spicks and closed down this one-sided game near the 22-minute mark.

INTZ finally secured their first victory in game 5. They went with the Sona-Taric comp and successfully snowballed throughout the game. With Sona-Taric performing well in the mid-game, they defeated MEGA.

In game 6, VEG defeated DFM once again and finalized their 1st place spot in Group B. Although DFM used the Sona-Taric comp which they utilized pretty well in their previous match, VEG was simply the better performing team in general. They smoothly went ahead in the early game winning the top-mid skirmishes. This led to more skirmish, teamfight victories and soon they went for the Baron. After securing the buff, they easily advanced to DFM's Nexus and won game 6.

Despite the fact that DFM failed to advance to the Knockout Stage, they finished game 7 with a one-sided victory. INTZ did secure 2 kills quite early in the game. However, DFM players were clearly better in skirmishes. VEG faced MEGA in game 8. MEGA managed to perform well in their last game and defeated VEG.
