GRF Sword on Their New Player, Kanavi: "He may not be as good as Tarzan right now but he’s really great in solo ranked so I think he will soon adapt to playing in the professional tournament."

Griffin defeated KT Rolster 2-0 on February 22nd. Although KT Rolster tried their best to turn the tide, Griffin dominated in both game 1 and 2. This makes it 10 consecutive victories for Griffin. Sword, the top laner for Griffin, guided his team to an easy victory after scaling hard.

Following is the interview with Sword, the top laner for Griffin.

How do you feel about winning today’s match?

It feels great that we got to have a perfect victory.

Coach cvMax said that he would give your team’s performance in game 2 a 7 out of 10.

We did extremely well despite how we were in some tight spots in game 1. On the other hand, we kept making mistakes even though game 2 was supposed to be an easy one. I agree with what our coach said.

Although you are still on a winning streak, we heard that your team doesn’t really pay much attention to your records.

I think it’s because all of our players are kind of fools who only think about games. But still, it felt great when we kept winning.

You are getting a 2-week vacation. It’s a pretty long vacation; what is your plan for it?

Although I want to relax, I think we will be practicing even harder. Our schedule after the 2-week vacation won't be easy. In order to pull off that schedule, we need to prepare first.

Kanavi recently joined your team. How is he in comparison to Tarzan?

We quickly become friends because Kanavi is really outgoing. He may not be as good as Tarzan right now but he’s really great in solo ranked so I think he will soon adapt to playing in the professional tournament.

According to cvMax, Kanavi’s aggressive plays are his biggest strength.

Actually, Tarzan is also great at aggressive plays. He couldn’t help but be better at macros since he has been working on coordination with his teammates for a long time. I think that’s why our coach said that separately about him.

Is there any team you are keeping your eyes on at the moment?

Honestly, I’m keeping my eyes on all teams. I think all of them have improved. All top laners are playing well.

Kiin from Afreeca Freecs has been showing remarkable performance lately. As a top laner, what is your opinion of him?

I was kind of jealous but at the same time, I thought he was great. I couldn’t help but wonder how a top laner could perform as good as that. But still, I think I have my own strength. I think it's just that we have different play styles.

Lastly, would you like to say anything?

The reason we were able to display such good performance is because of all the support we got from our fans. We will make sure we keep on showing entertaining performance in the future.
