Today's editorial is about name squatting.
With players being transferred left and right, squatters are taking the chance to obtain pro players' new team summoner names.
Not only do the pro players have to come up with alternative names, but there are also even cases where squatters try to sell the account to the actual players for money or premium skins.
Some fans don't mind this at all, as name squatting has been a part of all online games with unique handles, but other fans are calling this greed and vanity-driven identity theft.
With more high-profile cases, name squatting will only get worse over time, and at its current state, there's only so much that Riot Games can do besides mediating between squatters and players.
How do you feel about name squatters?
