Flowervin and Runner have successfully secured every RunAway player a spot in OWL season 2

Esports doesn't always have the best track record when it comes to team owners and organizations taking care of players in the long term. Short term success strategies, player burn out and the inherent uncertainty of tournament performances have left many pundits and fans accustomed to rosters disbandment news and early retirement announcements. To many, this was the worrisome fate that now iconic RunAway roster faced with every passing week leading up to Season 2 of the Overwatch League.

In fact, Inven Global's September interview with the team was, at the time, one of the only substantial pieces of information hinting at good news for the team and their unmistakable pink sweaters:

"As you may know, RunAway performed extremely well this season and I believe that all of our players are probably the best in their own roles. So, a lot of the League teams are on the lookout for our players, and we want our players to go into teams that are providing the best conditions. We don’t know the exact details yet, but the management has told us that the offers we have been getting have been generally really good. So, based on these responses, I would say things are looking good for RunAway." - Yangwon

But still, this was no confirmation. Such confirmation would come later in October when streamer and RunAway manager Flowervin would take to Twitch and announce the long-awaited news regarding the teams OWL Season 2 status.

For those of us who do not speak Korean, Twitter user and avid follower of the Korean Overwatch scene, @gatamchun, provided the following translation:

While it is still unclear whether the team will stay together or find homes in separate organizations, it is a huge win for loyal RunAway fans and a tremendous personal success for team owners Runner and Flowervin. The dedication they showed towards their team was already one of competitive Overwatch's most inspiring stories and, now, it seems to have found its happy ending.
