Kaplan confirms Roadhog changes slated for “hopefully” this week

In an official Overwatch forum thread that was quickly hijacked by impassioned Mercy mains desperate for buffs, Jeff Kaplan answered a question regarding Roadhog changes and whether they were coming any time soon.

It’s no secret that Roadhog is often one of the most ignored heroes in competitive play, and back in September, another forum post by Kaplan (this time responding to a rumor that developers hate tank players) brought good news about upcoming Roadhog changes. The information let players know that Roadhog changes have been intended for a while now, but some of the changes required special animation, causing a slower implementation.

Now, it seems as if these “not rework” changes are coming soon. Hopefully, the return of Roadhog will but a curb to some of the more obnoxious Doomfist and Brigitte stylings that have inflamed a very vocal group of Overwatch players.

Or, at least, maybe it will give Mercy players another high priority target to heal AKA a reason to put down their pitchforks. That would be an indirect buff, right?

PTR information is not yet available and will be covered the moment it drops.
