The new patch went live on Black Desert Online's Korean server with the new character Dark Knight. This 1.95 GB patch features not only Dark Knight, but also the beginning steps of the new Kamasilvia region which Pearl Abyss and Daum Kakao said they will update gradually over the course of several more future patches.

Please note that we were not able to translate the entire patch notes that are on Korean server at the moment. We have omitted bug fixes and other minor tweaks to the game, which we plan to include later on. Please also note that certain terms may not match with the official NA/EU client, as we do not have access to the official glossary yet.

Character

The new character Dark Knight has been added.

- She represents Vedir of Kamasilvia, and she is capable of using black magic through dissipation of natural power.
- She uses a long Taedo(太刀, big blade) as her main weapon and Trinket as her secondary.

10 new skin tones for character customization have been added.

Upper tier magical armor and magical secondary weapons have been added, and they can be acquired through completing quests given by Black Spirit.

- Sealed magical secondary weapon

Kzarka Taedo has been added to Patrigio's Black Market.

Item descriptions for certain Trinket items have been fixed.

Tooptips on harpoon items now tell you where you can go harpoon fishing.

Playable content

You can now press Space key to enter spectator mode while mounted on the sails of Galley and Epheria Sailboat.

Harpoon fishing is available in more regions.

There have been changes to Imperial Trade items.

- Troll Defense Camp: Troll club, Bashed Steel Armor, Troll Mane, Returned Legion Shield have been removed.
- Garvino Farm: Reed Basket and Sunflower Seed Oil have been added
- Northern Kaia Ferry: Salted fish and Water-resistant Potion have been added

Monsters

There have been adjustments to the ongoing world raid boss' looting system.

- More players can now loot after the raid.
- You either get a reward pack or normal reward depending on how much contribution you have made.
- Cyclops near Creo Village have been modified to no longer detect nearby players.
- Several monsters in Gahaz Bandits' Lair have been relocated to make it easier for players to attack.

Quests and knowledge

The following quests have been added for players to acquire magical armors and magical secondary weapons. (These quests become available at certain levels, upon completion of certain Black Spirit quests)

- Magical dagger exchange I, II
- Magical Talisman exchange I, II
- Magical Trinket exchange I, II
- Magical horn bow exchange I, II

User Interface

"Reservation" has been added to the Black Market.

- Once you press the Reserve button, the item is on reserve for 15 minutes.
- The item you reserved appears right away if you open the shop within the time limit, without draining your energy.
- The item is available for 15 minutes even if it goes beyond the Black Market's time period. (22:00 ~ 07:00) You can still access the item you reserved, but you cannot look for any other item.
- If you reserve an item, and then press View Another, the reservation is canceled and a new item appears.

"Take portrait screenshot" button has been added.
You can now hide maids and pets at the residence by clicking on the button.

System

New server "Kamasilvia" has been added.

- Kamasilvia Channel 1, 2, 3

Selling trade items within a 500 meter distance now gives you a reduced trade EXP. The price, however, remains the same.

You can no longer use the Traveler's Map when you possess trade items.
