Song “Rookie” Eui-jin Becomes the First Korean LPL Pro to Hit 1,500 Kills

On the 18th of July (CST), Invictus Gaming’s (IG) mid laner, Song “Rookie” Euijin hit 1,500 kills.

IG went against WE in the 5th week of the 2018 LPL Summer season. In this series, Rookie earned 1,500 kills which made him the first Korean LPL pro to reach that achievement. According to the Chinese press, this also made him the second player in LPL history who hit 1,500 kills. The first player ever to reach that point was RNG’s bot laner, Jian “Uzi” Zi-hao, who reached it on August 8th 2016.

Before making his move to the LPL, Rookie played for the KT Rolster Arrows. After losing against Najin White Shield in the 2014 Season Korea Regional Finals, he left the team and joined IG in December. It took him almost 4 years to earn 1,500 kills in the LPL.
