OGN's Gclef & TheMarine offer their APEX finals predictions

Watch the finals on OGNGlobal!

Even at their lowest, EnVyUs was considered the best of NA; at their peak, they were said to be the very best in the world. Will nV top off their overall brilliant year with a premier OGN trophy? Or will the perenially underestimated Afreeca Freecs Blue embarass their critics yet again by taking down another foreign giant?

With the finals of the Season 1 Intel Overwatch APEX approaching, Inven took a moment to reach out to two of OGN's APEX experts for analyses and predictions.

Daniel "Gclef" Na, shoutcaster, translator & on-air interpreter at OGN Global, had this to say:

"Afreeca Freecs Blue is a brilliant team that has improved rapidly since the beginning of the season. Recry's proficiency on projectile DPS heroes may work heavily in AF Blue's favor, as nV recently lost Talespin."

"For EnVyUs, I want to highlight Cocco and Chipshajen's exceptional consistency, although Mickie's fantastic performances as a last-minute addition definitely deserve the hype. And while the lineup is missing a projectile player, nV have fared very well so far with double hitscan."

"The outcome of the match will probably be decided by the tanks, not the DPS. I expect it to end 4:2 either way, but the first Capture Point map will most likely go to Afreeca Freecs Blue."

From Jeongmin "TheMarine" Kim, one of Korea's most renowned and experienced shoutcasters:

"Despite their recent shakeup, EnVyUs still looks to be a world class team. Mickie's addition clearly galvanized them, and they have the edge in experience over Afreeca Freecs Blue."

"AFB heavily benefits from the amazing hero pools of ArHaN and Recry. Both DPS players having such flexibility means AFB is usually the team to have the compositional advantage. AFB should now be considered a well-rounded team; the tanks stepped it up big time recently."

"I would give the slight edge to EnVyUs, but this series will be quite even."
