xQc on why Dallas Fuel is "still trash" -- "I'll give you one hint: It is not KyKy."

Head Coach KyKy has taken a large portion of criticism for Dallas Fuel’s performance, whether it’s from esports pundit Slasher or from fans who feel he is avoiding responsibility.

Although xQc has parted ways with Dallas Fuel, he recently went on stream to offer some brief thoughts on why the team has been underperforming.  His one hint? It’s not Head Coach KyKy.

-Re1nforce offers a theory

OWL analyst and commentator Jonathan “
Re1nforce” Larsson dug deeper and offered a theory based on his former experience as a pro player with Rogue and Misfits:

So to get straight to it, why do I think Dallas are performing poorly right now? The most straight-forward answer is confidence.”

Without confidence, the players are too afraid to make mistakes.  If you are unsure of your own play, trust between teammates begin to break down and cause synergy issues.  Communication becomes the problem. The following clip is almost hard to watch:

In another clip,
/u/Verethragna97 catches an error between Dallas Fuel’s support players, Custa and Chipshajen.

“...Custa dies in the first second of the valk, the fight is already lost and then Chips still blows his Trans.”

This is also aligned with Re1nforce’s analysis. When support players are so afraid of losing teammates and stop relying on their instincts, you get poor ultimate usage like the one seen above.

-A solution through transparency

KyKy recently went on Twitter to announce there will be more transparency so we have confirmation on Re1nforce’s theory straight from the head coach himself.

If Dallas Fuel’s true issue is confidence, then it’s up to the fans to continue their love and support alongside KyKy’s new announcement.  If the players feel they are allowed to make mistakes instead of receiving ire from their fans, their synergy will improve and Dallas Fuel may return to see their old glory days.
