On February 13th, The Florida Mayhem announced that they’re recruiting Sayaplayer (Jung-Woo Ha) and aWesomeGuy (Sung-Hoon Kim), via their official page on the Overwatch League website.

According to the Mayhem, two players will be joining their roster to play in Stage 2.

Sayaplayer was a former DPS playing for Meta Athena and has been known as the best hitscan DPS since he played in APEX. As for aWesomeGuy, he is a main tank who has displayed great plays during his time in LW RED and Meta Athena. The rumor among the Overwatch fans was that it was just a matter of time before these two players joined the League.

The Florida Mayhem joined the League after recruiting all players from Misfits and received much attention due to their strong lineup with TivQ, Logix, Zebbosai, etc. However, they finished Stage 1 with 1 win and 9 losses, dealing with difficulties when it came to managing their players’ conditions or changing strategies due to their small 6-man roster.

Now that they have two players that have been well-received not just in South Korea but around the world during this transfer window, they can mitigate the challenges that came with their small roster. Also, with zappis (Joonas Alakurtti) having joined the team on February 2nd, they can now be more flexible with the team management, as they have additional DPS, tank, and flex added to their roster.

Meanwhile, the Florida Mayhem also has r2der (Hyun-Jin Choi), formerly known as HyuN, playing for MiG Frost and KongDoo Panthera, join their team as their assistant coach.
