To Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, last year wasn’t quite the best. He and SKT T1 weren’t able to stop his rival teams in the Worlds and LCK finals from being champions.
Now the new year has come. At a studio in Seoul, the players were taking profile pictures for the 2018 season. There, we were able to meet Faker who we haven’t seen in a while. Because of his busy schedule, we weren’t able to talk to him for long.
Below is the brief interview with Faker.
Q. Hi, it's been a while. How are you?
Recently, I've caught a cold. I still have a touch of cold, but it's getting better. It's a relief that it didn't last long.
Q. Today, you took profile pictures for the opening. How was it?
It was a new experience. It was my first time taking pictures in such a closed area, so I had a hard time. Still, I wish the pictures come out well.
Q. Yesterday in your stream, you were wearing a different pair of glasses. Fans were wondering why.
I needed to fix my glasses, so I just wore another pair.
Q. The new SKT T1 members, Blossom and Thal are said to be big fans of you. You will be playing in the same team with your fans. How do you feel?
Many of my fans joined the team before, so it’s not that new. Now that we are in the same team, I’ll do my best to help them.
Q. You have a lot of experience in taking pictures for the opening. Did you prepare a pose for it?
I didn’t. I just try to do my best all the time.
Q. Lastly, please share your ambitions for the spring split.
I will do my best to deliver good performance in the spring split. Although SKT T1 was cut off early in KeSPA Cup, but we’ll be better in the spring split.
