'Sprout esports', a new addition to the german esports market.

We introduce Sprout, a new addition to the german esports market. Being one of the founding members of the german esports association, Sprout will be a significant part of the german scene, right from the beginning. Through the aid and experience of the main sponsors Caseking, noblechairs, AMD and daddyskins, Sprout is well supported.

Sprout starts into esports with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Being one of the three top tier 1 esports titles, Counter-Strike reached many impressive milestones in the industry. With a record breaking Twitch viewership of 1,2 million for the Eleague Major finale 2017, Counter-Strike created a monumental achievement for esports. Ever since its release in 1999, Counter-Strike is an essential part of the scene that has been constantly popular in its different versions and is played on many major esports events such es Intel Extreme Masters, ESL and Dreamhack.

Thus Sprout is taking on an experienced Counter-Strike line-up: Consisting of the former Penta Sports players Kevin “kRYSTAL” Amend, Pawel “innocent” Mocek, Jesse “zehN” Linjala and the former mousesports players Timo “Spiidi” Richter and Denis “Denis” Howell, the individual players showed strong performances throughout the year. With their previous teams they played through the Qualifier and were able to reach the PGL Major 2017. Sprout has now assembled this line-up, striving for similar success. The upcoming Major Qualifier in Atlanta January 2018 will be the first test for Sprouts capabilities.

Denis “Denis” Howell, player: “I am back in the game - together with my two fellow players Spiidi and kRYSTAL. During my time at mousesports, I was able to learn a lot from the organisation and my teammates. Now at Sprout, I want to apply these experiences to my new team and keep on improving.

After struggling to find our internal structure, we are now growing together as a team. We have waited for a long time and are now ready to show the world, who we are. An important tournament is coming up in January 2018, the Major Qualifier. We want to once again get through the Qualifier and play in the Major, that is our goal.”

Tobias “tow b” Herberhold, coach: “I am looking forward to being a part of Sprout. In the last two months, the team transformed from an unorganised bunch with an uncertain future to a strong unit that can excel. I am proud of the players and I see that they improve every day, they take responsibility and accept their role in the team. The Major Qualifier in Atlanta is coming up and we are all excited - our first challenge waits for us.”
