Riot’s official Music of the LoL World Championship from 2014 to 2017

On September 15, Riot Games released the song called Legends Never Die to commemorate the 2017 World Championship. The company produced and announced the official music at each World Championship since the year of 2014, and the songs became viral every time they were released. So, we have listed them here. Melodies that pops up in your mind just when you thought they were out of your head, these are the Official World Championship Music from 2014 to 2017.

Warriors (ft. Imagine Dragons), 2014 - 97 million views

▲ Imagine Dragons: Warriors / Worlds 2014 - League of Legends

The most popular piece among all the works that Riot Games has put out so far. Most of the cinematics Riot Games produced and released before had a somewhat bizarre quality, but this clip was animated in 2D, a technique which was quite successful in the 2013 World Championship - and they continued their affection of 2D animation until the release of the Star Guardian cinematics. The song depicts the distinct shouting vocals of Imagine Dragons and the grand scale of Worlds.

Worlds Collide (ft. Nicki Taylor), 2015 - 11 million viewers

The official song of the 2015 World Championship. The vocals were done by Nicki Taylor, who also took part in the official theme of Vi called Here Comes Vi. Although her voice is not considered as explosive as Imagine Dragons’s, her powerful voice suits the atmosphere of the World Championship quite well. The year of 2015 was when SKT T1’s Faker showed his impeccable performance, and the animated clip has a blurry CG depiction of Faker. If you look closely, you’ll see he’s wearing New Balance - one of the sponsors of SKT T1.

Zedd: Ignite (ft. Tim James), 2016 - 38.5 million views

The official audio released in 2016. The vocals were done by Tim James, the singer song-writer and a co-founder of Rock Mafia. The interesting part of this clip is an animation similar to the one released in 2014, and scenes in this clip resemble the actual moments that happened in the past - TSM stealing OMG’s Nashor, and Faker tumbling forward. However, the music itself is as impactful as previous years.

Legends Never Die (ft. Against The current), 2017 - 2.9 million views

And finally, the official audio for this year. Against The Current, the band which took part in the vocals, is a 3-man band that debuted in 2012 and released a couple of albums such as In Our Bones and Gravity. Although the music video hasn’t been released yet, it is pretty viral already, with a million views 3 days after its release. The music is receiving favorable comments for its depiction of the distinctively rough and heavy atmosphere of the World Championship.
