To celebrate one year since its official launch, NC's AION 2 hosted its 1st Anniversary Celebration today (Nov. 8) at the aT Center in Yangjae, Seoul. The event was held to express gratitude to the Daevas who spent the past year exploring Atreia and to share a glimpse into the future of AION 2 as players create new memories together. Over 8,000 attendees gathered at the venue, demonstrating the game's immense popularity.
A queue of dozens of attendees at dawn grew to approximately 4,000 people by noon. Even after doors opened, massive lines stretched along surrounding sidewalks and down into nearby subway stations. Special item coupons were distributed to attending Daevas, including pre-registration winners.
On the first floor, a custom T-shirt booth was set up for visitors to make commemorative shirts. Around 400 people waited in line at the T-shirt station alone. Main festivities took place on a grand scale on the second floor, featuring everything from the main stage for opening ceremonies to interactive mini-games recreating the in-game Shugo Festa.
From welcome gifts at the entrance to opening stage performances, previews of upcoming adventures, and anniversary celebratory events — here is a look back in photos at AION 2's first birthday with its Daevas.
